Clay and beyond

Had a go with clay at my art class, the idea was to make a tile to hang in the garden, we made the tiles and then glazed them.

I was not happy with the glazing so I ended up painting it with acrylics.

Thought I would create a design based on my tile, not coloured it yet but I have made copies to share round the class, looking forward to see what others make of it.

I thought storing my photography  was hard work with boxes of prints, slides and digital data. Storing art stuff is not easy either, after 2 years I now have a load of paintings on canvas, boards, and paper, sketchbooks and drawings from my classes, and  loads of other stuff. I am going to have to get organised, l am looking out for a A1 plan chest but in the meantime I am using these wonderful A1 polythene wallets, not expensive and you can get loads of stuff in them.

Been going  to have a go at making a book for a while. Started with the pages some old A3 prints of stuff ,separated them out into  4 sheets and folded in half marked and pierced some holes in them.

Using thread strung  them together and glue the spine. Made the cover from a old sketch and glued it all together.

Pleased with the result I am definitely going to have another go, perhaps make a sketch book with different types of papers in it
