lock down art

No life drawing orĀ  art classes in lock-down I have turned to on-line portrait sessions to get my fix, not quite the same as live but still with the time pressures.

these are from a on-line class run by Rawumber studios on a Sunday starting at 2pm.

Back to life

Found a great weekly life drawing session, run by 2 local artists.

They provide the models and tea and we get 2 hours of life drawing, I had forgotten just how exhaustingĀ  the concentration is.

Hope to make this a regular thing next year, you can’t beat drawing from life and I need to get better at it.

Life

Had a nice life drawing session today. It was great to get messy with charcoal and chalk again.

Thanks toĀ  Alice Ellis-Hayle for putting on the class.

Getting back into my life

Getting back into my life drawing class, still not comfortable with the quick draw warm ups. The tutor is full of encouragement andĀ suggestions, we are encouraged to share our work and I am learning form my fellow students too.

Working with line, tone and now layering, this is all helping me bring things together.
